Meetings Overview

Union Valley Reservoir
Meetings are at the heart of the open, public alternative relicensing process. Federal law mandates the involvement of federal and state resource agencies in the relicensing process. SMUD encouraged all interested Native American Tribes, local governments, non-governmental organizations and citizens to participate. SMUD hosted a series of evening public meetings throughout the process to listen to interested parties on topics ranging from issues of concern to potential license conditions. Interested parties were also encouraged to engage more fully in the process by participating in daytime stakeholder meetings, where policy and technical issues were addressed.Loon Lake Chalet in Winter

This part of the site included all meeting agendas, summaries, and  other meeting information. There was a calendar for planning and scheduling for meeting attendance. The meetings were organized by year and also by groups. Technical working groups, the plenary group and public meetings each had a section for their meetings making it a useful tool for stakeholder involvement.
